We make solid unfinished hardwood flooring from trees that grow locally here in the Willamette Valley.
Our flooring is made from carefully selected saw logs. All material is kiln dried in our custom dry kilns to 8% moisture content to ensure that the floor will remain stable in your home for generations to come. The lumber is then milled to flooring on state-of-the-art machines with an industry standard tongue and groove profile. The flooring is carefully sorted for grade and appearance, and stored in our temperature and humidity controlled dry room, until it is delivered to your home for installation.
We mill all of our flooring in three different widths of 2.25", 3.25" and 4.25". This helps to reduce waste in the production process. Most customers choose to buy all three widths and have the flooring laid either in a random or a repeating pattern to achieve the unique and beautiful signature variable-width look of Zena flooring. We do sell individual widths as well for customers looking for a single width floor.
Our Oregon White Oak Flooring is the hardest and most durable of all the west coast hardwoods. With a Janka Hardness of 1660, it will last for many generations of active use in both commercial and residential settings. Our Oak flooring comes in two grades:
Character Oak: Zena Character Oregon White Oak Flooring - This is our signature product and showcases all of the naturally occurring character present in our native oaks.
Premium Rift & Quarter Oak: Zena Premium Oregon White Oak Flooring - We select out the clear and uniform boards with all rift and quartered grain, and a maximum of 10% sapwood.
Our Western Bigleaf Maple Flooring comes in one grade showcasing the complete rainbow of colors that Western Maple has to offer. From light yellows to deep reds, with hints of brown, and tinges of green, wither burl and fiddle back patterns spread throughout, this floor will lighten up any room. Western Maple has a Janka hardness of 850 and is ideal for medium traffic and residential spaces.
Often it's the details that make the biggest impact. That's why we offer baseboards and heat registers to match your flooring.
Depending on availability, we manufacture flooring from Oregon Ash, Pacific Madrone, or Western Cherry. Ask for details.
